Between 10:00 of March 15 and 10:00 of March 16, three new confirmed locally transmitted cases and four asymptomatic carriers were registered in Changzhou. As of this update, 23 confirmed cases and 12 asymptomatic carriers have been reported in the city since March 12.
Initial epidemiological investigations on the new cases showed the possible routes of exposure in Jintan, Wujin, Xinbei, Tianning, Zhonglou, and Changzhou Economic Development Zone. They are:
Jintan:
T&T Supermarkets at Jintan InJoy Plaza and Jinsha Plaza, Kidswant and Beingmate stores at Jintan InJoy Plaza, the Jintan branch of SG Supermarket, and Houpopo Stewed Chicken restaurants at 109-1, 2, 3 and 4 Donghuan Erlu.
Wujin:
Naxienian BBQ in Wujin RK Youyicheng Plaza, and Wujin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Xinbei:
Changzhou Shangzhi Education Consulting at Wanda Plaza, Lujia Kaixin fruit store at 20-20 Yinfengyuan in Sanjing sub-district, Xinjiang Balangzi BBQ at 399 N. Jinling Rd., Jinjiangshan Restaurant at 75 Yanshan Rd., Yaju Tobacco and Alcohol at 1 Yuanshan Yaju residential area, and Xinbei Central Park.
Tianning:
21-B Kaixuancheng residential area, Building 131 of Longfor Xiangtishiguang residential area, 320 Caiqi Village in Zhenglu town, Yingtao Clothing at 83 Jinsanjiao in Zhenglu, Wandu Metal Market at 1 Mid. Relevant epidemiological investigations, nucleic acid tests, environmental disinfection, and medical treatment have been undertaken.
Concerning the Omicron variant’s high infectivity and transmissibility, if you have recently been to the locations visited by confirmed COVID-19 cases, please take nucleic acid tests as soon as possible and stay home until negative test results are obtained.
Those who concealed the fact of having come into close contact with a suspected or confirmed case and caused the further spread of COVID-19 shall be held legally liable under the laws and regulations of China.
Please avoid going out or attending any sorts of gatherings unless absolutely necessary. Maintain good habits for health such as washing hands regularly, wearing masks in public, ventilating rooms more often, using serving chopsticks, and dining separately.
